Peter Brantner, LMHC — Executive Director
Pete is a licensed mental health Counselor who splits his duties between administrative responsibilities and doing individual and group substance abuse and mental health treatment.  He also enjoys working with couples.  He has been with Crossroads since February of 2010.  He graduated from Drake University with a Masters in Community Counseling In 2007. He is also an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church, USA and graduated from St. Paul School of Theology with a Master of Divinity Degree in 1991.  Pete works primarily out of the Creston office and half a day a week at the Lenox office.[/su_column]


Joyce Westphal, LISW—Clinical Director

Joyce is a clinical social worker and the Clinical Director of Crossroads Behavioral Health Services.  She received her undergraduate degree from Graceland College and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa.  She began working Crossroads in 1981.  Her practice includes services to children, adolescents and adults with a wide variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety disorders, trauma and substance abuse, as well as family and marital problems.  Joyce works primarily out of the Winterset and Creston offices.


Vickie Paulus, RN
Vickie Paulus, RN-Vickie started at Crossroads in June of 2009.  She has been an RN for 27 years, working in the medical field for 38 years.  Vickie works with multiple doctors at Crossroads and helps with the Telehealth to be able to see clients via the computer and assists clients.  Vickie is also available for questions regarding medications, patient assistance program and medication follow-ups.


Julie Preusch, LISW
Julie has worked at Crossroads Behavioral Health services as a mental health and substance abuse therapist since 1984.  She graduated with a BA in social welfare from Graceland University and MSW from University of Iowa.  She has been a Licensed Independent Social Worker for the State of Iowa since 1989.  Julie works primarily in the Creston office and also works one day a week in the Lamoni and Osceola office.


Denise L. “D.L.” Metheney, LISW
DL received her BS degree from Iowa State University in Child Development in 1974.  In 1994 she received her MSW from the University of Illinois-Champaign.  DL was Administrator Family First program through Catholic Charities for 12 years and Administrator Foster Care program through Catholic Charities for 5 years.  2007 she was the Administrator at the Bridge Counseling program and Madison County health Care.  DL has been working as a mental health therapist at Crossroads behavioral health Services since 2008.  She sees families, individuals, geriatric, groups and couples.  DL primarily sees clients in our Osceola office.


Kyle Dasher, LISW
Kyle is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a master’s in social work.  She provides mental health and substance abuse treatment.  She has been working at Crossroads Behavioral Health Services since 2011.  Kyle enjoys working with all age and a variety of life challenges.  She has worked in the human service field in southwest Iowa for 20 years and is committed to quality mental health care in a rural area.  Her primary office is in Creston and Corning.


Curtis Rich, LISW
Curt is a licensed Clinical Social Worker.  He received his B.A. in Sociology from Central College in Pella, Iowa and his M.S.W from the University of Iowa.  He is a Diplomate in the American Psychotherapy Association.  His clinical interests include issues related to personality disorder, unresolved grief and attachment concerns.  Prior teaching and publications have focused on specific treatment issues related to evolving personality disorders in adolescence.  Curt has been with Crossroads Behavioral Health services since 2012.  His current clinical responsibilities at Crossroads Behavioral health Services involve addressing the clinical concerns primarily in the adult population. Curt’s primary office is in Winterset.


Nadyne Montiel, LMSW
Nadyne is a Licensed Master Social Worker and a mental health therapist at Crossroads behavioral Health Services.  Nadyne holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa and currently provides direct clinical therapy services to clients of all ages.  In addition to doing individual and family therapy, Nadyne provides Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Child Play Therapy, and School Based Mental Health Services for Crossroads.  She has worked with Crossroads Behavioral Services since 2014. Nadyne works primarily out of the Creston office, but also sees clients in Lenox during the school year and Winterset one day a week.


Keith Gardner, LMSW, IAADC
Keith has over 35 years of work experience in the substance abuse and mental health field.  Keith holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wyoming and a Master’s degree in Psychology from California Coast University.  He is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and is certified International Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (IAADC).  He especially enjoys working with relationship issues in recovery and groups.  Keith works at Crossroads Behavioral Health Services out of our Creston and Winterset office.  Keith has held multiple positions in his career as therapist, professional development trainer account manager/marketer, and field director for Idaho and Montana prison ministries.  Keith has been with Crossroads since 2013.


Logan Porter, LMSW
Logan is a Licensed Master Social Worker.  He earned his undergraduate degree in geography and Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa.  Logan provides counseling and psychotherapy to individuals as well as couples and families.  Logan has experience working with people on a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety including trauma, loss and grief, transitions and adjustments.  Logan has been with Crossroads Behavioral Health Center since 2015 and works in the Creston and Winterset offices.


Dr Kovilparambil Antony M.D. 
Dr Kovilparambil Antony M.D. started with Crossroads in May 2014. Dr Antony earned his bachelor of Medicine in 1995 from St John’s Medical College. He has been a board eligible psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience in
both inpatient and outpatient care. Skilled in psychopharmacological management and psychiatric disorders. Currently Dr Antony services clients in Crossroads Creston location.


Timothy Jack, MD
Timothy Jack, MD started working with Crossroads in 2015. Dr. Jack completed medical school at the  University of Maryland in 1984. He did his psychiatric residency at the Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital in Baltimore and earned his board certification in psychiatry in 1990.  He  currently provides psychiatric services in the Oseola, Greenfield, Winterset and Creston locations.


Kim Spears, ARNP
Kim Spears, ARNP earned her BSN at Boise State University and her Masters in Nursing at Stonybrook University, Long Island.  She spent six years working at an inpatient psychiatric hospital and has been practicing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2007. Kim has provided services with Crossroads since 2015.
